In today’s episode we speak with Keith Littlewood, founder of Balanced Body Mind to discuss his current PhD work in endocrinology, the common misconceptions we have about how to balance our hormones – more specifically our thyroid – and how we overthink food, focus too much on specific dietary regimens at a fault and underestimate the impact of environmental toxins on our endocrine system and overall health. 
About Keith Littlewood
Keith Littlewood
After getting his degree in fitness and health, Keith studied areas such as metabolic typing and functional medicine with the Institute of Functional Medicine, the neurobiology of sleep at Michigan University, and in 2017, gained a post-graduate diploma in endocrinology with distinction from the University of South Wales. He has a specific interest in resolving hormone and other energy-related issues that affect digestion, sleep, mood, fertility, and health. In 2019 he received a Masters of Science degree in endocrinology with distinction, researching the accuracy of thyroid-stimulating hormone in the face of mounting pollution, stress, and nutrition factors. He is currently doing his Ph.D. in endocrinology, assessing the role of environmental pollutants on thyroid physiology.
