Chocolate “orangette” chia pudding

The only time I ever have chia pudding is for breakfast – howerver, this recipe’s chocolate orange combination kick it up a notch and elevate it to the adult dessert category. It’s not just a pretty dairy, sugar, gluten and egg-free end to a meal, it is also incredibly easy and quick to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 3-4 tbsp high quality unsweetened cococa powder
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • Juice of half an orange
  • Zest of half an organic orange
  • 1/3 cup coconut nectar, maple or agave syrup

Instructions

  1. Mix the chia seeds and cocoa powder in a bowl or big jar
  2. Whisk in almond milk and orange juice as well as half the orange zest and coconut nectar
  3. Cover and let sit in the fridge an hour, stirring thoroughly or shaking the jar every now and then
  4. Pour into dessert ramekins and top with a few fresh zests to serve
