The only time I ever have chia pudding is for breakfast – howerver, this recipe’s chocolate orange combination kick it up a notch and elevate it to the adult dessert category. It’s not just a pretty dairy, sugar, gluten and egg-free end to a meal, it is also incredibly easy and quick to prepare.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 3-4 tbsp high quality unsweetened cococa powder
- 1 cup almond milk
- Juice of half an orange
- Zest of half an organic orange
- 1/3 cup coconut nectar, maple or agave syrup
Instructions
- Mix the chia seeds and cocoa powder in a bowl or big jar
- Whisk in almond milk and orange juice as well as half the orange zest and coconut nectar
- Cover and let sit in the fridge an hour, stirring thoroughly or shaking the jar every now and then
- Pour into dessert ramekins and top with a few fresh zests to serve
